Daily Maze is built to be played without an account, and we collect the minimum needed to run a fair daily leaderboard.
We use your browser's local storage (not tracking cookies) to remember your anonymous player ID, your in-progress run (so a crash or reload doesn't destroy your attempt), and your name. Clearing your browser data removes these — which also means a new anonymous identity and a lost streak.
If ads are enabled on this site they are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads; visitors in the EU/UK will be shown a consent dialog (a Google-certified consent management platform) before any non-essential cookies are set, and can choose non-personalised ads. See how Google uses data from partner sites.
Game data is stored with Supabase (hosted PostgreSQL) and the site is served by Vercel. Both act as processors for the data described above.
Daily results are kept indefinitely so the archive and streaks work. Input logs of rejected or flagged runs are kept for moderation.
You can request a copy of the data tied to your player ID, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the address on the contact page. Include your player ID (shown on the result screen leaderboard as your name tag). Deletion removes your runs from the leaderboards.
